New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

About This Role

Implement the patient care process (assessment, planning, intervention, documentation, and evaluation) to provide direct and indirect care for patients in the operating room. Ensure patient and family satisfaction while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, documentation, and evaluation) to provide direct and indirect patient care
• Address age-appropriate needs of all patients
• Follow nursing department philosophies, policies and procedures
• Develop unique education and care plans for each patient
• Provide appropriate education and support for family members
• Utilize judgment, knowledge and understanding of patient and family needs when directing ancillary staff
• Ensure customer satisfaction (patient, family, physician, others)
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Be sensitive to the age specific patient needs for comfort, privacy and generalized care

Requirements

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
• Entry level
