This Registered Nurse position at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital involves utilizing the nursing process to provide direct and indirect inpatient care, addressing the age-appropriate needs of all patients. Key responsibilities include developing unique education and care plans, supporting families, and ensuring patient and physician satisfaction while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, documentation, and evaluation) to provide direct and indirect patient care.
• Develop unique education and care plans for each patient following nursing department philosophies, policies, and procedures.
• Provide appropriate education and support for family members.
• Direct ancillary staff using judgment, knowledge, and understanding of patient and family needs.
• Ensure customer satisfaction (patient, family, physician, others).
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Be sensitive to the age-specific patient needs for comfort, privacy, and generalized care.
• Annually complete competency requirements specific to area(s) of responsibility.

Requirements

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in field of Nursing preferred
