Telemetry Registered Nurse

About This Role

Provide direct patient care on the Med/Tele Complex Care unit, managing and monitoring complex patients requiring telemetry and acute medical-surgical care during night shifts. Maintain accurate charting and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care on the West 7 Med/Tele Complex Care unit, handling up to 37 beds
• Manage and monitor complex patients requiring telemetry and acute medical-surgical care
• Utilize EPIC for accurate charting and documentation
• Follow established protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with hospital policies
• Maintain flexibility to work across multiple units as needed, including performing charge nurse duties
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Requirements

• Active New York State RN license
• NIH certification
• AHA BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing
• Availability to work night shifts: 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with 36 to 48 hours weekly
• Willingness to work at least one holiday per contract period
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing. Preferred 2 years recent experience in similar settings. 2 years of U.S. nursing experience required for internationally educated nurses.
