Telemetry Registered Nurse

About This Role

Provide specialized nursing care to high-acuity cardiac and medical telemetry patients in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit. This contract position supports professional growth and teamwork within a 44-bed unit in Biddeford, ME.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to high-acuity Cardio and Med Tele patients with patient ratios ranging from 1:4-5 (days) and 1:5-6 (nights)
• Administer complex treatments including ketamine drips, heparin drips, and specialty wound care
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain professionalism with a fragrance-free dress code and adherence to unit policies

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience
• Strong background in high-acuity patient care, particularly cardiac telemetry
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Proven ability to handle complex procedures such as IV therapy, PCA, epidurals, central lines, wound care, tracheostomies, and chest tubes
• Proficient with electronic medical records

Qualifications

• 2+ years recent acute care experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with EPIC EMR
