Telemetry Registered Nurse

About This Role

Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to medical-surgical/telemetry patients in a fast-paced environment. This role involves managing direct patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide direct nursing care for MS/Tele and observation patients
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:6 or 1:7, adapting to census and staffing demands
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Respond efficiently to patient needs and emergencies, utilizing BLS, ACLS, and NIH stroke scale competencies
• Participate in floating assignments during periods of low census to support other units
• Comply with all holiday and leave policies as outlined by the facility
• Engage in orientation and ongoing professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in telemetry nursing
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including floating to other units as needed
• Must reside within 100 miles of the facility
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
