Telemetry Nurse (RN)

About This Role

This contract position requires a Registered Nurse experienced in telemetry care to provide high-quality patient care within a specialized 54-bed cardiovascular unit. The role involves closely monitoring cardiac telemetry patients and managing acute cardiovascular conditions on night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry patients closely using remote monitoring systems and bedside assessments
• Manage cardiac drips and acute cardiovascular conditions following established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner Powerchart
• Adhere to unit staffing ratios typically ranging from 1:5 to 1:6, with occasional adjustments during call-ins
• Work night shifts on a 4x12 hour schedule (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with every other weekend and holiday rotations

Requirements

• Current RN licensure with at least 1 year of telemetry nursing experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
• Comfort and competence working with cardiovascular telemetry patients and medical drips
• Ability to adapt to fluctuating patient ratios and maintain high standards of care under varied staffing conditions
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (travelers only)

• At least 1 year of telemetry nursing experience
