The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all unit functions during a designated shift. They evaluate nursing care according to policies, serve as a resource for staff, and embody the organization's vision.
Responsibilities
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment
Requirements
- BSN
- Minimum of 1 year Registered Nurse experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry
- Charge RN experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of employment
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
Qualifications
- BSN required
- Minimum of 1 year Registered Nurse experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry required, plus Charge RN experience
