About This Role

This role is responsible for the overall planning, organization, and evaluation of services delivered by the Adult Critical Care departments at Medical City Dallas. The Manager will ensure high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital missions and nursing standards, collaborating with other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, delegate, direct, negotiate, and evaluate services delivered by the Adult Critical Care departments and personnel
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other department leadership personnel for the functions and activities of nursing care performed in adult critical care
  • Maintain effective communication within the department and with other departments
  • Develop and recommend policies, procedures, or programs to improve quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of patient care within the specialty area

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • 5 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting
  • Experience with leadership of personnel, payroll, budget development, business planning, and building physician relationships
  • Current RN license in Texas or compact license
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS provider

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
  • Five years’ experience in progressive management, preferable in a hospital setting, including leadership of personnel, payroll, budget development, business planning, and building physician relationships.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in nursing
  • CCRN and/or CNRN certification
