About This Role

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in a Surgical ICU setting. This role involves collaborating with medical providers and the care team to provide individualized and comprehensive care, utilizing established nursing models.

Responsibilities

  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures.
  • Teach patients, families, and caregivers about non-medicinal follow-up measures such as diet, exercise, and disease prevention.
  • Manage evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance quality measures and patient care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
