The Technology Operations Specialist II provides company-wide technical services for network endpoints, peripheral equipment, and software, focusing on endpoint, printing, and mobile device support, as well as application, network, and telecommunication infrastructure support. This role ensures timely resolution of IT issues and serves as a resource for the on-call rotation within the St. Louis, Missouri Region for Select Medical facilities.
Responsibilities
- Respond to Solution Center referred trouble tickets and provide end user support for network software, operating system, hardware, and peripheral equipment, troubleshooting as necessary.
- Escalate 'out of scope' issues to proper IS departments or vendors in a timely manner.
- Install, troubleshoot, and diagnose software/hardware issues with Windows desktops and laptops, iOS tablets and smartphones, printers, medical devices, and networking equipment.
- Monitor and report on security violations related to unwarranted access to corporate data.
- Coordinate with corporate IS teams and vendors for planning and installation of desktop computer hardware, mobile device hardware, software, printer repairs, and cabling.
- Support endpoint deployment activities for business development initiatives, including hospital moves, openings, and acquisitions.
- Maintain records and documentation related to network infrastructure, data cabling, and equipment/software revisions.
Requirements
- BS or BA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in Information Systems
- 3+ years of hands-on, end-user support for endpoint devices, operating systems and network infrastructure devices
- Regular regional travel
- Availability beyond standard business hours for mission-critical issues
Qualifications
- BS or BA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in Information Systems with 3+ years of hands-on, end-user support for endpoint devices, operating systems, and network infrastructure devices.
Nice to Have
- Desktop and laptop hardware, iPad, and peripheral support experience (HP & Ricoh printers, Fujitsu/Ricoh scanners)
- Telephony, VoIP, and clinical device support (telemetry, glucometers, RX dispensing hardware, nurse call)
- 7+ years of experience in Information Systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft productivity application suites
- Healthcare and clinical experience
- Health application support including Epic and MEDHOST
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to work independently, and sense of urgency
