Occupational Hand Therapist

About This Role

The Occupational Hand Therapist evaluates, treats, and re-evaluates patients requiring hand therapy services. This role contributes to case management and ensures high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, treat, re-evaluate, and discharge high-quality hand therapy services for patients and customers
• Develop treatment plans
• Supervise assistants and aides
• Contribute to case management
• Provide quality patient care
• Maintain positive interaction with facilities and clients
• Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy
• Minimum of level II clinical rotation or fieldwork in hand therapy specific to the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic within the last two years
• National registration and state licensure or registration
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Valid state driver’s license

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy
• Minimum of level II clinical rotation or fieldwork in hand therapy specific to the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic is REQUIRED within the last two years.
