Technician Integration Systems II

About This Role

This role involves installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting computer equipment on flight simulators both in-house and on-site. You will also be responsible for loading and testing system software and hardware for electronic components.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, and test equipment cabinets, image generators, projectors, and subsystems on production devices
• Perform installation, operation, design, modification, repair, and test of software & hardware on production system components
• Provide in-house visual support of production devices including troubleshooting, isolating, repairing, and/or replacing electrical and system components
• Set up standard test equipment to perform functional testing of installed hardware/software components to evaluate system performance
• Assist with cabling, de-cabling, disassembly, preparation for shipment, and on-site installations
• Remove, bench test, reinstall, and operate parts, ensuring all indications and functions are in accordance with applicable technical specifications
• Access and interpret system schematics, and electrical and mechanical engineering drawings, and update them to reflect as-built conditions
• Modify procedures under supervision of a lead

Requirements

• Associate degree in a related field
• 2 years’ experience
• Intermediate knowledge of PC inner workings
• Ability to change user serviceable parts
• Intermediate knowledge of Windows OS and Server OS
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Networking basics
• Electronic testing equipment
• Basic knowledge of hand tools including wire wrap and crimping tools
• Ability to interpret drawings

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field
• Two (2) years’ experience
