About This Role

The System Engineer III supports Aircrew Training System and Contractor Logistics Support programs by performing systems engineering, project engineering, subcontractor management, modification design, logistics engineering, and proposal preparation tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze technical requirements and develop specifications and Statements of Work for ATS/CLS program components.
  • Review and edit Statements of Work, Specifications, and technical documents.
  • Support program management and logistics functions through analyses and trade studies.
  • Prepare cost estimates and technical text for ATS, CLS proposals, and ECPs.
  • Perform subcontractor/vendor technical design reviews and audits.
  • Participate in customer technical interchange meetings, audits, and program reviews.
  • Prepare subcontractor/vendor specifications and Statement of Work for RFPs and subcontracts.
  • Perform technical evaluations of proposals received and prepare recommendations for upper management.
  • Support modification projects, including cost and schedule management and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent
  • 8 years of aircrew training system or flight simulation device experience
  • Experience with military/Department of Defense engineering standards
  • Knowledge of specification and configuration management practices
  • DOD work in life-cycle engineering activities (requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test and delivery of hardware and software systems)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or four years, combination of education, experience, and training
  • Eight years of aircrew training system or flight simulation device experience with military/Department of Defense engineering standards or equivalent education.

Nice to Have

  • Engineering team leadership experience
  • Subcontractor project management experience
  • Experience in all aspects of subcontractor management
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance
