Lead and deliver complex data center build projects from conceptual design to deployment for AWS's global infrastructure. This role involves managing cross-functional technical teams, influencing stakeholders, and accelerating project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional and technical teams from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Use judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence without authority, analytical talent, technical aptitude, and leadership to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Manage capital budgets
- Eliminate non-value-add activity
- Design solutions
- Remove blockers
- Find creative ways to accelerate project delivery
- Manage stakeholder relationships to influence and deliver challenging schedules
- Proactively solve complex problems during program execution
Requirements
- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
- Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Capable of understanding mechanical/electrical engineering concepts
- Ability to apply a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking
- Experience with MS Office
- Experience with MS Project
- Experience with MS SharePoint
Qualifications
- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
Nice to Have
- Master's Degree or advanced professional certifications in management of complex, high value technology infrastructure projects
- Experience managing large-scale projects
- Experience managing construction projects and/or data center installation projects
- Experience with Tableau
- Experience with KanBan
- Experience with Playbook
