Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, Data Center Planning Delivery

About This Role

Lead and deliver complex data center build projects from conceptual design to deployment for AWS's global infrastructure. This role involves managing cross-functional technical teams, influencing stakeholders, and accelerating project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional and technical teams from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment
• Use judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence without authority, analytical talent, technical aptitude, and leadership to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Manage capital budgets
• Eliminate non-value-add activity
• Design solutions
• Remove blockers
• Find creative ways to accelerate project delivery
• Manage stakeholder relationships to influence and deliver challenging schedules
• Proactively solve complex problems during program execution

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
• Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
• Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Capable of understanding mechanical/electrical engineering concepts
• Ability to apply a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle
• Demonstrated experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking
• Experience with MS Office
• Experience with MS Project
• Experience with MS SharePoint

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience

• Master's Degree or advanced professional certifications in management of complex, high value technology infrastructure projects
• Experience managing large-scale projects
• Experience managing construction projects and/or data center installation projects
