Team Leader

About This Role

The Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in executing operational, sales, and merchandising objectives while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. This role also ensures a safe and productive work environment and trains Team Members on policies and procedures. The Team Leader is crucial for maintaining efficient store operations and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance, working scheduled shifts including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate
• Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment by following and enforcing policies and procedures
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover Needs, Recommend Solutions, and Ask to Add Value
• Execute assigned basic, promotional, and seasonal merchandising activities
• Perform Opening/Closing procedures and transport/make deposits to the bank
• Assess store conditions, assign duties, and organize/prioritize workflow using daily planner
• Perform merchandise recovery, participate in mandatory freight processes, and execute regular and promotional price changes
• Resolve customer complaints and issues, ensuring a Legendary shopping experience
• Adhere to loss prevention standards and respond to alarm calls as needed
• Communicate with Team Members on job functions, responsibilities, and financial goals
• Operate cash register/computer, supervise cash handling procedures, and assist Team Members with policies and procedures
• Ensure the safety and well-being of birds, sanitize/maintain poultry holding tanks, and care for birds as required
• Operate Forklift and Baler, complete associated documentation, and obtain necessary licenses or certifications

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required
• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
