About This Role

Manage all aspects of a retail store's sales operations, providing leadership to the sales team and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role focuses on driving sales performance and metrics, fostering a robust selling culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the sales team to drive sales performance and metrics
  • Ensure a positive customer shopping experience
  • Perform operational activities throughout the store
  • Promote a safe and productive work environment for all Team Members, customers, and vendors
  • Train Sales Team Members on application of policies and procedures
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance based on business needs
  • Deliver financial results and achieve selling metrics including customer experience scores
  • Utilize superior product knowledge and train the Sales Team
  • Motivate and engage Sales Team Members to embrace company values and goals
  • Conduct selling skills and monthly training for all Sales Team Members
  • Assess individual performance through observations and measurements and provide coaching
  • Analyze data to draw conclusions and identify actionable takeaways
  • Ensure adequate sales floor coverage for legendary customer service
  • Assist Store Manager in leading, coaching, and developing sales staff on selling initiatives and service delivery
  • Oversee Sales Team including hiring, training, development, and maintaining a productive work environment
  • Resolve customer complaints/issues to ensure a positive experience
  • Train Team Members on appropriate application of policies and procedures
  • Operate cash register/computer and perform opening/closing procedures
  • Transport and make deposits to the bank and supervise cash handling
  • Adhere to loss prevention standards and respond to alarm calls
  • Operate Forklift and Baler
  • Assist customers with loading purchases
  • Complete all documentation associated with job duties
  • Obtain licenses and certifications as needed by the business

Requirements

  • Previous retail leadership experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and count accurately

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or the equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
  • Previous retail leadership experience is required. Prior sales and supervisory experience strongly preferred.

  • Prior sales and supervisory experience
  • Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related field
  • Ability to perform and execute principle responsibilities of Team Members
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict
  • Experience with customer Service and selling skills
  • Excels in a fast-paced work environment
