Store Sales Manager

About This Role

This position drives sales performance, provides leadership to the sales team, and ensures a positive customer shopping experience within a retail operation. The role serves as the second in command for sales initiatives, reporting to the Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the Sales team and Team Leaders
• Drive sales performance and metrics through a robust selling culture
• Ensure a positive customer shopping experience
• Perform operational activities throughout the store
• Promote a safe and productive work environment for all Team Members, customers, and vendors
• Train Sales Team Members on appropriate policies and procedures
• Deliver financial results
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
• Work assigned schedules based on business needs
• Resolve customer complaints and issues
• Operate cash register/computer and perform opening/closing procedures

Requirements

• Previous retail leadership experience
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or the equivalent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
• Previous retail leadership experience is required. Prior sales and supervisory experience strongly preferred.
