Team Leader

About This Role

The Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving operational, sales, and merchandising goals by providing a Legendary Customer Experience. This role also focuses on maintaining a safe work environment and training team members on policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance, working varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
• Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment by following and enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover needs, Recommend solutions, Ask to Add Value & Appreciate.
• Execute assigned basic, promotional, and seasonal merchandising activities.
• Perform Opening/Closing procedures and transport/make bank deposits.
• Assess store conditions, assign duties, and prioritize workflow using a daily planner.
• Manage merchandise recovery and participate in the mandatory freight process.
• Perform regular and promotional price change activities.
• Resolve customer complaints/issues to ensure a Legendary shopping experience.
• Adhere to loss prevention standards and respond to alarm calls as needed.
• Communicate with Team Members on job functions, responsibilities, and financial goals.
• Operate cash register/computer, supervising cash handling procedures.
• Assist Team Members on appropriate application of policies and procedures, including ensuring the safety and well-being of birds and maintaining poultry holding tanks.
• Operate Forklift and Baler, and complete all associated documentation.
• Obtain licenses or certifications as needed by the business.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Qualifications

• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
