Team Leader

About This Role

The Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in executing operational, sales, and merchandising objectives by providing a Legendary Customer Experience. This role also ensures a safe and productive work environment and trains Team Members on policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance, working scheduled shifts including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment by following and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service by greeting customers, uncovering needs, recommending solutions, and adding value.
• Execute assigned basic, promotional, and seasonal merchandising activities.
• Perform Opening/Closing procedures and transport/make bank deposits.
• Assess store conditions, assign duties, and organize workflow using a daily planner.
• Perform merchandise recovery and participate in the mandatory freight process.
• Perform regular and promotional price change activities.
• Resolve customer complaints/issues to ensure a Legendary shopping experience.
• Adhere to loss prevention standards and respond to alarm calls as needed.
• Communicate with Team Members on job functions, responsibilities, and financial goals.
• Operate cash register/computer and supervise cash handling procedures.
• Assist Team Members on appropriate application of policies and procedures.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of birds, sanitize, and maintain poultry holding tanks.
• Operate Forklift and Baler.
• Complete all associated documentation and obtain licenses/certifications as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
