Team Leader

About This Role

This Team Leader role assists store management in executing operational, sales, and merchandising objectives by providing a legendary customer experience. The role also promotes a safe work environment and trains team members on policies and procedures. This position requires adaptability and a service-oriented mindset, contributing to the daily improvement of life for both customers and the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist store management with operational, sales, and merchandising objectives
• Deliver a legendary customer experience
• Promote a safe and productive work environment for all Team Members, customers, and vendors
• Train Team Members on policies and procedures
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance, working varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Execute assigned basic, promotional, and seasonal merchandising activities
• Perform opening/closing procedures and transport deposits to bank
• Assess store conditions and assign duties, organizing workflow using a daily planner
• Resolve customer complaints/issues to ensure a legendary shopping experience
• Adhere to loss prevention standards and respond to alarm calls
• Operate cash register/computer and supervise cash handling procedures
• Ensure the safety and well-being of birds, sanitizing and maintaining poultry holding tanks
• Operate Forklift and Baler
• Complete all associated documentation

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
