The Team Lead assists in supervising and managing all day-to-day store operations, ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures. This role provides leadership, guidance, and training to staff, and assumes full responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store and Assistant Managers. The primary goal is to consistently meet and exceed established sales, service, and operational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and welfare of employees and customers
- Create and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience, managing customer issues urgently
- Execute all POS terminal transactions according to policy and procedure for sales, discounts, refunds, loyalty programs, and open/closing procedures
- Adhere to inventory control policies and procedures including shipping, receiving, price management, singles, damaged merchandise, and physical inventory
- Implement sales floor merchandising and visual presentation according to company standards, including merchandise placement and promotional events
- Adhere to payroll control policies and procedures regarding scheduling, budget compliance, and time & attendance
- Provide training and development for direct reports by utilizing available tools and reinforcing customer service standards
- Adhere to loss prevention policies and procedures for the protection and control of all Company assets
- Develop a complete understanding of managing all day-to-day operations
