About This Role

Join a team supporting a Federal Intelligence Agency as an IT Engineer/Systems Administrator, providing Tier II support for large Microsoft Enterprise environments with a hybrid Windows & RHEL infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Windows and Linux workstations on EVDI and physical systems
  • Troubleshoot application functionality, crashes, and performance issues
  • Investigate user performance and collaborate with external teams to enhance user experience
  • Assist customers with Tier 2 incident resolution for Linux and Windows applications
  • Provide remote end-user desktop support
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system incidents with short-term workarounds and long-term solutions
  • Respond to escalated service desk/team requests
  • Communicate effectively (oral and written) with various individuals and collaborate within team environments
  • Provide initial triage, response, and notifications for incidents
  • Participate in special projects as required

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • 8+ years of related systems administration experience
  • DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security)
  • Active Directory Administration experience
  • DNS, DHCP, DFS, LDAP knowledge
  • Experience with Windows 10, Server 2012, Server 2016
  • Application Troubleshooting (Outlook, Excel, Word, JAVA, Internet Explorer)
  • Linux Operating System experience
  • Understanding of ServiceNow, NETS or other ticketing processes
  • ITIL v3 or higher

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
  • 8+ years of related systems administration experience

Nice to Have

  • Ability to obtain a CI Polygraph
  • Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
  • PowerShell experience
  • Virtualization Environments (VMware, Citrix) knowledge
  • Profile management utilizing VMware User Experience Management (UEM)
  • Microsoft Exchange experience
  • Telephone/Video support experience
  • Networking knowledge
  • Familiarity with site-specific customer and mission
