Join a team supporting a Federal Intelligence Agency as an IT Engineer/Systems Administrator, providing Tier II support for large Microsoft Enterprise environments with a hybrid Windows & RHEL infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage Windows and Linux workstations on EVDI and physical systems
- Troubleshoot application functionality, crashes, and performance issues
- Investigate user performance and collaborate with external teams to enhance user experience
- Assist customers with Tier 2 incident resolution for Linux and Windows applications
- Provide remote end-user desktop support
- Identify, analyze, and resolve system incidents with short-term workarounds and long-term solutions
- Respond to escalated service desk/team requests
- Communicate effectively (oral and written) with various individuals and collaborate within team environments
- Provide initial triage, response, and notifications for incidents
- Participate in special projects as required
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
- 8+ years of related systems administration experience
- DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security)
- Active Directory Administration experience
- DNS, DHCP, DFS, LDAP knowledge
- Experience with Windows 10, Server 2012, Server 2016
- Application Troubleshooting (Outlook, Excel, Word, JAVA, Internet Explorer)
- Linux Operating System experience
- Understanding of ServiceNow, NETS or other ticketing processes
- ITIL v3 or higher
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
- 8+ years of related systems administration experience
Nice to Have
- Ability to obtain a CI Polygraph
- Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
- PowerShell experience
- Virtualization Environments (VMware, Citrix) knowledge
- Profile management utilizing VMware User Experience Management (UEM)
- Microsoft Exchange experience
- Telephone/Video support experience
- Networking knowledge
- Familiarity with site-specific customer and mission
