About This Role

Assume responsibility and accountability for assuring quality care as a health care team member within the Perioperative environment, anticipating and responding to the needs of the patient, surgeon, and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for assuring quality care as a health care team member within the Perioperative environment
• Anticipate, plan for, and respond to the needs of the patient, surgeon, and other team members
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding patients, patient families, coworkers, and physicians

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program OR evidence of employment as a Surgical Technologist prior to July 1, 2009
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist certification OR obtain within 12 months completion of degree from an accredited school of surgical technology OR provide evidence of employment as a certified surgical technologist prior to July 1, 2009 OR current valid licensed practitioner providing evidence of employment as a surgical technologist
• Maintain current CPR certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent GED. Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program or evidence of employment as a Surgical Technologist prior to July 1, 2009.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
