About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in a Surgical ICU setting. The RN assesses, performs, teaches, and manages patient care in collaboration with medical providers and the care team, advocating for patients and families.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental requirements and scope of practice
  • Provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models
  • Serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical provider(s)
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
  • Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures
  • Manage evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures
  • Manage the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan

Requirements

  • RN license
  • Associate Degree
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt (ACLS)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
