Coordinate and schedule surgical appointments and follow-up care for multiple physician teams, managing the surgeon's overall practice schedule in both clinic and hospital settings.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule appointments for surgeries and follow-up appointments for multiple physician teams
- Oversee surgeons' overall practice, including coordination of operative, procedural, clinic, research, and administrative schedules
- Perform care coordination, day-of-visit patient flow, and overall practice management supporting patient flow
- Manage rooming, phone/Cerner message management, and procedure room support tasks
- Provide sick and vacation coverage
Requirements
- 1 year experience in healthcare or related environment with knowledge of medical/surgical terminology
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proven excellent de-escalation and communication skills
- Ability to use a computer
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Collaborative, reliable and punctual disposition
Qualifications
- 1 year experience in healthcare or related environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with IBM/Cerner/IDX applications
- Experience/certification in department specialty
