About This Role

Coordinate and schedule surgical appointments and follow-up care for multiple physician teams, managing the surgeon's overall practice schedule in both clinic and hospital settings.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule appointments for surgeries and follow-up appointments for multiple physician teams
  • Oversee surgeons' overall practice, including coordination of operative, procedural, clinic, research, and administrative schedules
  • Perform care coordination, day-of-visit patient flow, and overall practice management supporting patient flow
  • Manage rooming, phone/Cerner message management, and procedure room support tasks
  • Provide sick and vacation coverage

Requirements

  • 1 year experience in healthcare or related environment with knowledge of medical/surgical terminology
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proven excellent de-escalation and communication skills
  • Ability to use a computer
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Collaborative, reliable and punctual disposition

Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in healthcare or related environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with IBM/Cerner/IDX applications
  • Experience/certification in department specialty
