Clinical Pharmacist

About This Role

As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will ensure safe prescription and dispensation of medications by reviewing prescriptions for drug interactions, correct dosing, and patient allergies. This role involves continuous learning and research to provide optimal solutions and exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, and patient allergies
• Document clinical activities and interventions such as consults, patient teachings, and other patient-specific information
• Interpret medication orders and/or prescriptions for drug interactions and appropriateness
• Accurately enter/verify orders or prescriptions into the computer system, label, and dispense medications
• Verify and check medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel
• Communicate drug information to patients and health professionals
• Resolve drug-related problems by consulting with other health care professionals
• Clarify unclear orders with licensed providers and assist them in appropriate drug selection and therapeutic regimens
• Maintain an adequate basic knowledge base to provide clinical services for all age groups served
• Provide basic clinical services as required by policy and procedure

Requirements

• Bachelors Of Science Pharmacy or Doctor Of Pharmacy Pharmacy
• Pharmacist license in Washington state
• Basic Life Support - CPR certification
