This Superintendent role involves overseeing and coordinating all field operations for construction projects, ensuring safety, schedule, quality, and budget adherence. The role requires strong leadership to manage project teams and subcontractors, particularly within the hospitality and gaming sectors.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subcontractors
- Direct the work of all trades assigned to a construction work site
- Coordinate and schedule work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers
- Conduct preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors before each phase of work
- Plan manpower and personnel needs onsite
- Lead toolbox talks/briefings
- Provide management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team members
- Oversee facilitating equipment for the project site (cranes, trailers, trucks, etc.)
- Develop and maintain the site logistics plan for the project
- Participate in the development and management of a CPM schedule, including short-term look aheads
Requirements
- Minimum of six (6) years’ industry experience
- Proven experience managing ground-up and renovation projects within the gaming, hospitality, or resort sectors
- Experience with high-end finishes and complex MEP systems
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects in active, guest-facing environments
- Experience managing a scope of work valued over $100MM
- Strong understanding of planning and scheduling
- Strong understanding of business and/or financial principles to project and monitor expenses
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material installation instructions and engineering/architectural drawings
Qualifications
- An undergraduate University degree or higher (preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field) is desirable. Other relevant education, training or work experience may substitute for bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of six (6) years’ industry experience. Proven experience managing ground-up and renovation projects within the gaming, hospitality, or resort sectors, including high-end finishes and complex MEP systems. Experience managing a scope of work valued over $100MM.
