About This Role

This role provides leadership, coordination, guidance, and technical expertise in all areas of quality for data center construction projects. The Quality Manager develops and administers quality-related policies and procedures to ensure consistent adherence to quality practices and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Work with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to develop processes and procedures for 100% compliant work
  • Maintain active relationships with engineers, consultants, and industry associations
  • Assist teams with developing project-specific quality management plans
  • Support and follow up to ensure project teams adhere to their quality management plans
  • Build and maintain system templates for various Deficiencies Found in Work (DFOW) activities
  • Participate in project meetings and conduct site visits and inspections of work in place
  • Provide training and coaching to project team members on identifying and mitigating quality-related risks
  • Act independently as Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) while coordinating all QC functions
  • Determine, communicate, and document deficiencies, ensuring timely correction via the NCR Log
  • Maintain current records providing factual evidence of required quality control activities and tests
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications and contract requirements
  • Initiate and conduct three-phase inspection processes and daily observations, documenting results
  • Chair preparatory meetings and weekly QC meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Verify and document that all materials received conform to approved submittals and are stored appropriately
  • Oversee daily and weekly QC/QA reports reinforcing activities conform to established standards
  • Assist with administering the site safety program and ensuring Trade Partner compliance with OSHA and Yates safety requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of construction experience in quality control supervision
  • 5+ years industrial and/or commercial construction experience
  • Experience with large/complex quality plan implementation
  • In-depth knowledge of Construction Standards and Best Practices
  • Working knowledge of the International Building Code
  • Computer skills using Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, MS Office

Qualifications

  • An associate or undergraduate university degree or higher (preferably in Quality Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of construction experience as a part of a quality control supervision and minimum of five (5) years industrial and/or commercial construction experience
