Superintendent

About This Role

As a Superintendent, you will effectively monitor, direct, and coordinate all field operations for construction projects, focusing on safety, schedule, quality, and budget. You will lead and mentor a team, working closely with project management and engineers to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subcontractors.
• Schedule and direct the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers.
• Conduct preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors before each phase of work.
• Plan manpower and personnel needs onsite.
• Lead toolbox talks/briefings.
• Manage safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team members.
• Oversee the facilitation of equipment for the project site (cranes, trailers, trucks, etc.).
• Utilize project contract documents, specifications, and drawings.
• Develop and maintain the site logistics plan for the project.
• Develop scopes of work for trades.
• Manage the completion of project close-out and punch list items.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years industry experience
• Proven experience managing ground-up and renovation projects within gaming, hospitality, or resort sectors
• Demonstrated success in delivering projects in active, guest-facing environments
• Experience managing a scope of work valued over $100MM
• Strong understanding of planning and scheduling
• Strong understanding of business and/or financial principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, and manuals

Qualifications

• Undergraduate University degree or higher (preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field) is desirable.
• Minimum of six (6) years’ industry experience. Proven experience managing ground-up and renovation projects within the gaming, hospitality, or resort sectors.
