Summer Nature Camp Teacher

About This Role

This role involves planning, organizing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating a Summer Nature Camp Program for children, focusing on environmental education and ensuring their safety and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Organize, direct, and lead a group of approximately 15 children in an environmental education based nature camp program
• Plan games, activities, lessons, and arts and crafts projects
• Prepare lesson plans and other daily or weekly reports
• Supervise a group of children ensuring safety, discipline, and communications with parents
• Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects

Requirements

• Ability to supervise children and ensure safety and discipline
• Ability to prepare lesson plans and reports
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of college or equivalent experience
• Two (2) seasons of experience working in a summer recreation or nature camp program, or related college coursework.
