About This Role

This internship in Environmental Compliance offers students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges within the utility industry, gaining exposure to environmental obligations and considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, correlate, and analyze specific data using established procedures
  • Perform routine tasks to familiarize with environmental practices and programs
  • Assist departmental staff with large projects as needed
  • Assist in the development of and gather data for trend analysis and reporting
  • Assist in the development and submission of permit applications and planning documents
  • Perform site walk downs and material inventory reviews for plan development
  • Generate spreadsheets and flow diagrams for key environmental data dissemination
  • Assist with the development of internal computerized training tools
  • Conduct work activities to ensure compliance with environmental rules and regulations
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and/or suggest improved methods

Requirements

  • Available full time during Summer 2026 semester (May - August)
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with declared major in chemistry, biology, environmental science, or related environmental degrees
  • Minimum 3.00 GPA
