This position is responsible for providing analysis and solution of complex business process and technical problems with a focus on improving operational effectiveness and excellence. The Business Operations Analyst will prepare and deliver well-constructed business insights to management, lead teams, and enhance understanding of business processes and systems.
Responsibilities
- Extract and deliver useful statistics and insight from business data to drive and support operational improvements and business strategies.
- Proactively identify and implement solutions and strategies to help the business achieve short and long-term objectives.
- Prepare complex financial models and forecasting using advanced modeling techniques.
- Develop high level analyses, recommend courses of action based on data, and present to Senior Management.
- Develop and research methods for measuring various areas of business performance and compare against trends and best practices.
- Review, identify, analyze, and create detailed documentation of business process and supporting systems.
- May lead special projects or teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years analytical/problem solving experience OR Master's degree
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as SAS, Hyperion, MicroStrategy, Tableau and Hadoop
- In-depth knowledge in statistical analysis, economic modeling and data visualization
- Strong analysis, research and complex problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Suite (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) or other advanced statistical computer applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree
- 2+ years analytical/problem solving experience for Intermediate Business Operations Analyst.
Nice to Have
- Master's Degree in business or a quantitative discipline
- Possess an innate curiosity and a strong desire to solve problems
- Ability to tell a story from analysis to identify/solve business opportunities
- Background in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement models
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
