This role coordinates Educational Talent Search/TRIO programming, focusing on college readiness and career exploration for students. It involves planning and facilitating workshops, assessing student progress, and organizing campus visits and field trips.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement and facilitate workshops and seminars using grade-appropriate curriculum on high school success, college readiness, career exploration, life skills, financial literacy, and college planning
- Recruit, identify, assess, and document eligible partnerships
- Develop individual service strategies plans for each participant and monitor academic progress
- Maintain records regarding student eligibility and performance and submit reports regarding student outcomes and activity costs
- Conduct regular formative and summative evaluations of programming, including developing survey and assessment instruments
- Determine campus visit and field trip participation rates and track program graduates
- Plan, implement and supervise campus visits to colleges and universities, challenge courses, educational career sites, and workshops
- Acquire financial documentation for all activity costs, verify and document purchase card transactions for meals, and report event costs monthly
- Develop strategies to provide educational opportunities for parents
- Develop and maintain a network of college and career resources
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in education or a related field
- 1-3 years experience
- Knowledge of federal grant regulations
- Knowledge of educational program services design and implementation principles
- Knowledge of program evaluation principles
- Skill in the operation of computers and job related software programs
- Skill in decision making and problem solving
- Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public
- Skill in oral and written communication
- Ability to obtain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in education or a related field
- 1-3 years experience sufficient to understand the work of subordinate positions
