This role will provide programmatic and technical support to a NAVSEA customer in Washington, DC, focusing on submarine acquisition, sustainment, and program management. The analyst will contribute to military defense and the safety of sailors by leveraging expertise and collaborative skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to SEA 05U7C for SSDR program management, Manual Change requests, and URO Program and Service Life extensions
- Review audit cards and assist with certification efforts
- Create, maintain, and update databases and spreadsheets, and generate various reports
- Maintain and track status of program records and documentation
- Draft letters and related correspondence in support of program tasking
- Provide support to program engineers with special tasking and emerging tasks
- Review presentations, briefs, and formal correspondence for NAVSEA review and final approval
- Maintain applicable Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) as directed/required
- Interface with stakeholders to identify, assign, and track action items to benefit submarine sustainment support
- Collect information and provide recommendations to senior decision-makers through well-written documents
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including Program Office representatives within NAVSEA and Department of Navy organizations
- Coordinate with the technical community and develop white papers and presentations for the Government and the Navy
- Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support and assist the Government with technical analyses, inquiries, research, testing, and data validation for US submarines
- Provide analysis and metrics for program issues (e.g., late delivery analysis, delay claim analysis)
- Conduct Meeting Facilitation/Administration (generate and distribute agendas, minutes, action items)
- Assist with adjudication/resolution LARs and other program/fleet requests
- Advise on PPBE issues related to SSN/SSBN modernization
- Organize and maintain Program tracking files/tools on program status, actions items and issues
- Provide timely and efficient responses for all urgent tasking
- Ensure program correspondence and deliverables are in accordance with Serco's Quality Assurance Program
Requirements
- Active or current DoD Secret clearance
- US Citizenship
- Bachelor's Degree (or Associate's Degree + 2 years experience, or High School Diploma/GED + 4 years experience)
- 8 years of relevant experience
- Strong customer, interpersonal and organizational level communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Written communication skills (e.g., drafting program impact statements & Congressional Appeals)
- Experience leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8 years of relevant experience, with Navy acquisition and/or In-Service Programs highly preferred
Nice to Have
- Active-Duty experience in submarine service
- Recent experience in Team Submarine
