About This Role

Provide direct on-site electrical support for building construction and fabrication teams, focusing on temporary power installation, cabling, and safety procedures for a USACE project in Greenland. This role also involves planning upcoming demolition and installation work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct on-site electrical support to building construction and fabrication teams
  • Install and remove temporary power hardware
  • Run conduit and cable for fabrication equipment
  • Trace cables to identify origin and end points
  • Isolate and apply LOTO to electrical circuits for construction personnel safety
  • Plan upcoming demolition and installation work through review of existing and design documentation
  • Create work plans including material and tool needs, schedules, AHAs, and manning criteria
  • Lead a small team on installation tasks as needed
  • Create and review Requests For Information (RFIs)
  • Support project administration with creation of Purchase Requests

Requirements

  • Ability to interpret installation and construction drawings
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working a 10 hr shift in an arctic field/construction environment
  • Clean driving record

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in construction or construction related projects

Nice to Have

  • OSHA 10, 30, or 40 Certification
  • OSHA 30 Qualified
  • MWEP Training
  • Forklift Training
  • Basic understanding of EM 385-1-1
  • Previous experience working at Pituffik Space Base or other overseas remote locations
  • Familiarity with HEMP hardening or similar projects
  • Class 5 & 7 forklift certification
  • Scissor lift & aerial boom certificate
  • Rigger training certificate
  • Confined space training certificate
  • CPR and first aid training certificate
  • Associate degree in a construction related or technical field
