The Student Nurse Technician performs delegated functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide patient care services at Hartford Hospital, contributing to patient health, safety, and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Perform delegated functions as a member of a patient care team
- Provide a variety of services to meet health care, safety and comfort needs of patients
- Perform duties in accordance with all existing regulatory and hospital standards, policies and procedures
- Report to Unit Manager
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Enrollment in an accredited nursing program
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Ability to perform physical efforts as specified by Position Physical Requirements and Occupational Health Exposure form
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent; Enrollment in an accredited nursing program
Nice to Have
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
- Ability to relate to different cultural and economic background
