Strategic Sourcing Manager

About This Role

This Strategic Sourcing Manager role is responsible for driving supply chain excellence and eliminating constraints for ITW Medical, supporting enterprise-wide sourcing strategies. The position ensures a fit-for-purpose supply chain through planning, procurement, manufacturing, and delivery elements while adapting to market conditions to maintain high customer service.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate major supply chain risks across direct and indirect raw material categories and suppliers
• Conduct and maintain risk assessments and implement mitigation plans with key stakeholders
• Perform supplier assessments, capability reviews, and performance evaluations
• Review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts and long-term agreements for favorable terms
• Conduct supply chain audits, assessing cost, complexity, and feasibility of changes
• Track and manage supplier lead times and performance KPIs (quality, cost, delivery, service)
• Track material spend for "80" materials, including annual price impacts, cost drivers, and mitigation strategies
• Lead LRP/AP activities for the sourcing function, including prioritization and project execution
• Map end-to-end supply chains to identify critical relationships, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
• Apply critical thinking to uncover new sourcing opportunities and evaluate potential new suppliers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 5 years of broad sourcing leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization, across a multi-location or global business
• Managed at least $30M+ in annualized spend in direct materials
• Strong track record of financial data analysis, budget planning, inventory management, driving procurement strategies and reducing overall material costs
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Proven results in managing and developing talent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree. Master’s Degree, NAPM (APP, CPM) or APICS (CPIM, CIRM) certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of broad sourcing leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization, across a multi-location or global business. Managed at least $30M+ in annualized spend in direct materials.
