About This Role

Lead and manage a retail store with a strong focus on Ditsch food service, ensuring product quality, consistent presentation, and customer satisfaction. Drive profitability through inventory control and staff optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a food service location featuring in-store preparation and baking of Ditsch products
  • Uphold and promote Ditsch's baking craftsmanship, ensuring oven-fresh products
  • Monitor and manage food prep areas for cleanliness, organization, and food safety
  • Recruit, train, and mentor employees with emphasis on high-quality food service and Ditsch preparation methods
  • Maximize store profitability through inventory control, food waste management, and labor optimization
  • Create a welcoming store environment by maintaining clean sales and food areas
  • Foster a team culture that values reliability, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee employee schedules and ensure proper staffing during high-traffic times
  • Ensure compliance with local health regulations and Ditsch product-specific food handling guidelines
  • Act as the primary contact for customer issues and inquiries about Ditsch products

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in food service or retail with food service
  • Valid Driver’s License and transportation to/from bank and corporate meeting
  • Valid vehicle insurance
  • Schedule flexibility including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move product, stay active on your feet, and handle store logistics
  • Skilled in inventory management, staff development, and customer engagement
  • Clear and professional communication (verbal, written, and digital)
  • Ability to oversee all food safety related activities including preparation, handling, and storage
  • Ability to oversee all related food policies of franchise operation including required certifications
  • Responsibility for teaching and role modeling proper customer service and suggestive selling techniques
  • Responsibility for communicating sales and profitability goals to store associates and providing feedback
  • Responsibility for meeting and exceeding store budget and sales volumes
  • Must have a form of communication to be reached
  • Responsibility for continued training, education, and development of all employees

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience working in a food service or retail environment with food service

Nice to Have

  • Previous leadership experience
  • Basic knowledge of Excel
