Sales Associate with Food Service

About This Role

This role involves preparing and serving authentic Mexican food products, primarily gorditas from the Doña Tota brand, while providing excellent customer service in an OXXO USA retail location. The associate will ensure food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and assemble Doña Tota menu items, including gorditas and other fresh food offerings, following company recipes and quality standards
• Ensure all food items are made fresh, properly handled, and consistently presented throughout the day
• Provide excellent customer service—greeting guests, taking orders, answering product questions, and ensuring satisfaction
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain cleanliness in all food prep and service areas
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control guidelines in compliance with health regulations and company policies
• Assist with restocking supplies, organizing storage areas, and rotating products to maintain freshness
• Handle register transactions accurately and efficiently
• Keep dining and service areas clean, organized, and inviting
• Promote the Doña Tota brand by sharing enthusiasm for authentic Mexican food and providing a great experience for every guest

Requirements

• Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move product, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in food service, restaurant, or retail with food handling (preferred)
