Store Manager in Training (MIT)

About This Role

Manage daily store operations, supervise team members, and ensure excellent customer service for a rapidly growing cookie company. This role involves training, interviewing, and maintaining company standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when General Manager is not present
• Supervise, train and coach 2-5 team members engaged in cookie sales and customer deliveries
• Lead new hourly staff onboarding and initial training
• Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires in the manager’s absence
• Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control and scheduling
• Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies’ standards (baking, uniform, company policies, etc.)
• Upsell and ensure overall customer service excellence

Requirements

• 1+ year of supervisory experience in restaurant or retail
• Prior experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly support staff
• Prior Point of Sale (POS) systems experience
• Ability to utilize MS Office, Word and Applicant Tracking System
• Ability to work a 4-5 day work week and 1-2 mid-to-late shifts (Thurs-Sun)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Legal eligibility for employment in the United States

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or retail store
