Store Manager in Training

About This Role

This role is a development-focused position designed to prepare an individual for a CVS Store Manager position through a 16-week self-paced training program. The Store Manager in Training will develop leadership skills through virtual and hands-on learning experiences and support store operations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate verbally and in writing to support and lead your team
• Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service
• Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth
• Manage the store inventory and assets to maintain profitability
• Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences
• Support your store as a management team member and lead consistent with CVS values and policies
• Engage colleagues in support of the company's purpose
• Be willing to accept promotion roles within the designated market

Requirements

• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
• Ability to perform customer care duties
• Ability to execute merchandising strategies
• Ability to manage store inventory and assets
• Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market
• Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market
• Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs
• High School diploma or GED
• Retail management experience, or experience as a CVS Supervisor

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Retail management experience, or experience as a CVS Supervisor is required. A four year college degree is preferred, or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
