About This Role

The Retail Store Associate plays a meaningful role within CVS Health by providing differentiated customer service, accurately performing cashier duties, and maintaining the sales floor. This position helps shape the future of health care by positively impacting individuals and communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion, and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help with locating items.
• Accurately perform cashier duties, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, and updating pricing information.
• Complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support opening and closing store activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, ensuring they are stocked and operational.
• Assist pharmacy personnel with regular shifts as part of career development opportunities.
• Embrace and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, and up to 10 lbs frequently
• Close visual acuity for activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspection

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Or Equivalent Preferred But Not Required.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting
