This role supports the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence, assisting patients with prescription fulfillment, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. This position helps transform healthcare by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner for patients.
Responsibilities
- Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within the store
- Act as the first point of contact to assist patients and customers, ensuring an exceptional experience
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
- Contribute to safe and effective operations by following company SOPs at each workstation
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, creating personalized moments, and offering immunizations and other services
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as accurately putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
- Contribute to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and being receptive to feedback
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
- Deliver additional patient healthcare services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing) where allowable by law and supported by training
Requirements
- Compliance with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- Must be at least 16 years of age if no state minimum age requirement
- High school diploma or equivalent if no state minimum educational requirement
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Nice to Have
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations
