Store Associate

About This Role

This role involves providing differentiated customer service, accurately handling cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor by restocking and managing inventory, and supporting opening and closing store activities. It will also assist pharmacy personnel and promote new CVS services and loyalty programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and resolving potential service issues
• Focus on the customer by giving warm and friendly greetings, maintaining eye contact, and offering help locating additional items
• Accurately perform cashier duties, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision following company policies and procedures
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks
• Support opening and closing store activities, when needed
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy
• Embrace and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs that support helping people on their path to better health

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally
• Close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts/details

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Or Equivalent Preferred But Not Required

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting
