About This Role

Provide general nursing care to perinatal patients and families in diverse, acute healthcare settings. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care according to established standards and policies, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings.
• Practice nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Delegate nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using criteria from the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
• Provide professional nursing care services to patients according to department policies and nursing care standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care provided to assigned patients.
• Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population or individual.
• Document planned nursing interventions to achieve patient outcomes based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems.
• Evaluate and document response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at determined intervals.
• Revise plan of care based on evaluative data as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Actively participate in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state
• BLS certification
• C-EFM certification

• Associate's Degree: Nursing
