About This Role

The Cook is responsible for preparing hot and cold foods for patients and retail customers, ensuring adherence to production sheets and food safety standards. This role also involves maintaining a clean and orderly work area and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare hot and cold foods for patients and retail customers according to production sheets
  • Document on appropriate food safety logs in a timely manner
  • Accurately follow standardized recipes for in-house production
  • Properly use cooking and prep equipment
  • Follow safe food handling practices
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and order of work area and equipment
  • Notify supervisors of equipment malfunctions and food preparation problems
  • Perform basic housekeeping duties
  • Relieve and train other positions as assigned
  • Obtain necessary stock

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of food preparation experience
  • Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling techniques
  • Preparation of hot food items in large volume
  • Proper use of convection ovens, grills, braisers, fryers

Qualifications

  • High School or GED
  • 1 year of food preparation experience
