The Service Excellence Ambassador provides exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors, and hospital staff. They are responsible for managing information, facilitating communication, acting as a patient advocate, and overseeing the functions of information desks and lobbies.
Responsibilities
- Give and collect confidential information for visitors, families, and patients regarding patient location, condition, and treatment progress.
- Facilitate communication between patients, families, and hospital staff.
- Act as a patient advocate by investigating concerns and expediting admissions and other delays.
- Resolve problems and complaints, escalating when necessary.
- Respond to special needs and ensure they are met.
- Greet, give directions to, and escort visitors, families, and patients, assisting with wheelchairs when necessary.
- Answer multi-line phone and transfer callers to appropriate patient rooms or other locations.
- Oversee the functions of information desks and lobbies, including cleanliness and order of surrounding work areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years experience in a consumer advocacy or service role
- Knowledge of conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, win-win negotiations, medical terminology, diversity training, and hospital operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Sciences, or health related field.
- Minimum Two Years of Experience in a consumer advocacy or service role.
