Relay incoming and outgoing telephone calls and operate public address/paging systems for multiple hospitals, providing critical communication services and responding to emergency codes and alarms.
Responsibilities
- Answer ACD telephone system for multiple OhioHealth hospitals using Amtelco, a PC based console program
- Direct callers to the proper area/person or department as requested
- Answer patient information calls and transfer as appropriate
- Initiate emergency pages and announcements via the pocket paging system and overhead public address system
- Answer emergency Code Phone and contact medical/support personnel for various emergencies (Code Blues, Traumas, Code Assists, etc.)
- Answer patient hotline for Riverside, Grant, Doctors and Dublin hospitals and dispatch appropriate staff
- Maintain daily on-call schedules and make accurate changes for on-call personnel
- Take after hours calls for clinical areas such as Hospice and Riverside Family Medicine answering service
- Monitor security cameras at several OhioHealth facilities to assist in organizational safety
Requirements
- High School or GED
- Six months to one year experience in high call volume environment
- Excellent verbal skills
- Ability to work simultaneously on several assignments
