Staff Pharmacist

About This Role

As a Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health, you will lead the pharmacy team, manage daily operations, and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices within a retail location.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Oversee the pharmacy as a proxy for the Pharmacy Manager during bench shifts without overlap
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and utilizing safety guardrails
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
• Proactively offer and deliver immunizations to keep patients healthy
• Support the effective management of pharmacy inventory by following best practices
• Partner with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure pharmacy operations are compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, including company-required trainings and CMEs
• Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist delivered clinical care where permissible
• Understand and comply with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles

Requirements

• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Nice to Have

• 1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
