Staff Pharmacist

About This Role

This Staff Pharmacist role at CVS Health focuses on improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunization practices. You will support the Pharmacy Manager and oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance and fostering positive patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Oversee the pharmacy as the Pharmacy Manager's proxy during bench shifts without overlap
• Strengthen pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching and consistent follow-up of pharmacy team members
• Provide feedback about pharmacy team performance to the Pharmacy Manager as needed
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the pharmacy team to follow workflow procedures and utilizing safety guardrails
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
• Proactively offer and deliver immunizations to keep patients healthy
• Support the effective management of pharmacy inventory following best practices and protecting cold chain products
• Partner with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure pharmacy operations are compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, actively seeking opportunities to expand knowledge to better support patients

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting preferred
